Stop the Gerrymander: Join Us to Defend Our CD18 District
Dear friends, partners, and members of Houston Justice and the We Are CD 18 Coalition,
Governor Abbott and state leaders are pushing a plan to carve up historically Black and Brown Congressional Districts like ours to hold or expand their majority in the U.S. House in the upcoming Special Legislative Session. This is not just about maps. It is about silencing our neighborhoods, dividing our communities, and stealing power from families who have lived here for generations.
When we organize, we win.
And we need you with us.
Tomorrow, Saturday, July 12, join us for our Hands Off Our Districts Postcard Writing Party. We will write postcards inviting neighbors to our Save Our Congressional District Workshop on July 19 at 3 p.m. at the Third Ward Multi-Service Center.
Here is how you can help right now:
Attend the postcard writing party tomorrow at 11:30 AM in Third Ward.
